A welcoming café in Wellingtons CBD that brings people together – designed with movement, light and community at its heart.
Mojo Brandon marks the start of an ongoing collaboration with Mojo Coffee. The challenge was simple: create a space that draws people in and feels effortless to move through. We responded with a bold, linear lighting element that guides circulation, inviting people from the street and lobby into the café. Materials, thresholds, and layout work quietly in support – defining zones, offering subtle transitions, and building a cohesive experience. Post-COVID, the goal was to bring life back to the city, and the space now hums with informal meetings, chance encounters, and daily rituals. We also partnered with artist Andrew J. Steel, whose mural uses playful hieroglyphs to reflect Wellington’s vibrant business life and culture. The result is a warm, open space that encourages connection.
