Nestled into a steep Eastbourne hillside, Karaka Tower is a crafted timber annex designed to provide vital space for a growing family’s life and art. Facing near-impossible site access, our solution was a unique, prefabricated modular tower, skillfully lifted into place by helicopter to minimise disruption. This clever approach created a functional bedroom and art studio crowned by a rooftop terrace. The result is a private ‘treehouse’ retreat with stunning views – a beautiful, inspiring space that perfectly answers the client’s needs and demonstrates how smart design overcomes challenges.
